Using crochet to darn your socks or any other hole isn’t very difficult if you already know how to crochet a single crochet stitch.

To darn a hole with crochet you will need
A little bit of darning yarn or a sock yarn. You can also use a pure wool yarn, but then you will need to have a sewing thread with it for reinforcement.
A crochet hook matching your yarn
A needle to secure ends
A scissor
1. I start by single crochet around the hole. Sticking the crochet hook through the sock. Creating a base for your darning.
A good tip is to crochet in the tail as you go.
2. Slip stitch to first single crochet in your base.
3. Chain 1
Single crochet 2 stitches, Decrease by single crochet 2 stitches together.
Repeat until the end of the row. Slipstitch to the first stitch of the row.
4. Chain 1, single crochet 1 stitch decrease by single crochet 2 stitches together
Repeat until the end of the row. Slipstitch to the first stitch of the row.
5. Chain 1 single crochet 2 stitches together until the hole is closed. Bind of a secure the ends
